Casing Chart for Beria Erfe
Expand Here for Explanation and Key
The casing charts present information about casingmapping and casefolding of characters in bicameral scripts.
Entries for the casing information for each bicameral script are ordered according to the Unicode Collation Algorithm (UCA), so that related case pairs are near each other in the table, rather than appearing in code point order.
In each row, an entry is shown on a colored background when its value differs from the code point in the first column.
The abbreviations in the column headers can be interpreted as follows:
Abbr Meaning Defined in CP Code point SLC Simple lowercase mapping UnicodeData.txt SUC Simple uppercase mapping STC Simple titlecase mapping SCF Simple casefolding CaseFolding.txt Lower Lowercase mapping DerivedCoreProperties.txt Upper Uppercase mapping Title Titlecase mapping Fold Full casefolding CaseFolding.txt Note that the simple mappings and foldings are always one-to-one, and do not expand the length of a character string. The simple casefolding is usually but not always the same as the simple lowercase mapping. In some scripts, for stability reasons, the simple casefolding maps instead to the uppercase form.
The Lowercase, Uppercase, and Titlecase mappings and the Full casefolding are not always one-to-one; strings may expand when they are subject to these mappings or foldings.
Each cell is shaded to indicate whether a particular code point changes when it is cased. The background colors are explained in the following key:
a
0061Code point being cased A
0041Changes when cased a
0061No change when cased Hovering over a cell in the table will show the character name or names. When there is a sequence of character names, those are separated by commas.
