---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Florida SunFlash Sun58TE VERSION 1.1 SunFLASH Vol 25 #19 January 1991 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sun58TE is Sun's IBM 5080 emulation product. Sun58TE 1.1 now adds support for the GX, Sun's most popular graphics accelerator. This allows desktop SPARCstations to be used for Sun58TE terminal emulation. Sun58TE continues to support the CXP for deskside configurations. Sun58TE is an effective tool for customers that have an installed base of mainframe/5080 applications. The target for Sun58TE is the casual user -- users that need to view, modify, update or change a drawing; users who check specifications in drawings; users who write technical documentation. NOTE: Sun58TE is not designed to replace IBM 5080's one for one. Sun58TE is NOT appropriate as a 5080 replacement for users' doing highly interactive, design intensive tasks.
